A Lincoln County jury has found Justin Snyder, 31, of Kemmerer guilty on three counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor in the Third Degree. The jury arrived at the verdict at roughly 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22 following a two day trial in Lincoln County District Court.

According to court documents, Snyder was arrested in April for engaging in sexual contact with a teenage girl in February of 2026. Snyder later pleaded not guilty to the charges and the case proceeded to trial, which began on Monday, September 21.

Following the trial, which Snyder himself did not testify in, the jury returned with a guilty verdict on all three counts.

“I want to thank the Kemmerer police department and DCI for their work on this difficult case,” stated Lincoln County Attorney Spencer Allred. “Also thank you to the victim and her family and all those others that were involved in helping bring this individual to justice. These are very difficult cases and are especially hard for these young kids to have to come into a courtroom and testify. They all did a very admirable job and we are so happy that they can hopefully put this behind them and move forward.”

Snyder has been booked into the Lincoln County Detention Center and faces up to 15 years in prison for each charge. Sentencing will take place at a later date.
