• Meeting Sept. 11 at Civic Center.
SVI / Town of Alpine
The Town of Alpine invites all residents to a crucial Work Session on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, to discuss the potential use of town-owned property for a new charter school.
The 7 p.m. meeting will be held at the Alpine Civic Center, 121 US-89.
A formal notice from the Town of Alpine states, “This Work Session is a valuable opportunity for all residents of Alpine, as well as those from nearby communities of Star Valley, to engage directly with the Alpine Town Council and share their views on this significant issue.
“It is especially important for residents within the incorporated boundaries of the Town of Alpine to participate, as their tax contributions have supported the management and utilization of this property.
“Your feedback is vital as the Council considers the best use of the land and evaluates the future of educational opportunities in our region.
“We are committed to ensuring that every voice is heard.
“This is a significant decision that will impact our town, and we want to make sure we fully understand the community’s views and concerns.
“All residents are encouraged to attend, express their opinions, and contribute to the discussion. This is your chance to be a part of shaping the future of education in Alpine.”
The town further requested that if you wish to provide written public comments to be included in the work session, please email them to office@alpinewy.gov by September 5 at 12:00 p.m.
The town notice concluded, “We look forward to your participation and hearing your valuable feedback.”
