A boil water order mandated by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Town of Alpine has been lifted according to the town. The order came about after a water main break over the weekend which caused most of the town residents to be without water for the majority of of a day during repair efforts.
The EPA and town officials met and implemented the order as a precaution. After water samples were tested on Tuesday July 2, the order was lifted.
A water distribution area was established at the Alpine Fire Department and will continue to hand out water as needed to area residents.
