Lincoln County Road and Bridge have installed a temporary, single lane bridge over the Salt River on County Road 104 (McNeel Power Plant Road) south of Alpine. The temporary bridge is open to the public and will be used while repairs are made to the main bridge.
“Please be advised that this is a single-lane bridge, and a speed limit of 15 mph is strictly enforced for the safety of all travelers,” said Amy Butler, Lincoln County Engineer. “We kindly ask everyone to be courteous and exercise caution when crossing.”
A bridge deck replacement is scheduled for early October after significant damage was observed. A three ton weight limit was put in place to ensure safety while the temporary bridge was being installed.
