PHOTO/OFFICE OF SENATOR BARASSO
One of the things that I like most about Wyoming is working closely with our D.C. delegation.
Wyoming is fortunate to have Harriet Hageman in the U.S. House and the team of Cynthia Lummis and John Barrasso in the U.S. Senate.
I’ve worked with this team on many occasions on various topics specific to Wyoming and western side of the state.
Everything from water battles our small towns are having with federal agencies to multiple use of our forests and regionally the breaching of dams that keep our lights on in Star Valley.
The list goes on and the team of Hageman, Lummis and Barrasso, along with their well qualified staff, have been there to help.
Sometimes the help comes with a quick trip to D.C., while other work has been coordinated by that great staff I noted, both in D.C. and here in Wyoming.
Our U.S. Representative and Senators give attention to the details and that was exemplified on a Saturday night, May 17 in Afton when Sen. Barrasso dropped in to the Star Valley FFA annual banquet to offer words of encouragement to our youth involved in Agriculture.

As I stood in the back of the room looking over the crowd and listening to Sen. Barrasso speak with the enthusiasm as he is known for, I thought, ‘Do people understand the benefits of living in Wyoming?’
As I observed, a U.S. Senator has just worked our Star Valley ag youth into his unbelievably tight schedule to be in Afton to speak, visit and offer encouragement.
I love living in Wyoming!
