The election period for open positions on the Lower Valley Energy Board of Directors opens on Thursday, June 4. Members of the coop have until 12:00 p.m. on June 24 to vote electronically or via paper ballot up until the start of the Annual Meeting at 5:45, June 25.
According to Lower Valley Energy, paper ballots were mailed on June 1. Voting can begin online through an emailed link from Lower Valley Energy or SmartHub.
District 1, covering south of Strawberry Creek outside the narrows to Smoot, and District 2, covering the west side of Highway 89 from the Narrows through Alpine, are both up for vote locally. District 6 and 7, both in Teton County, are also up for election. Voting is not at large, but by district only. Members will only vote for the board representative from within their district.
Seeking election in District 1 are Dan Dockstader and Sean Salisbury, with Devin Simpson and Heather Goodrich running in District 2. Ray Elser and Stina Brock are competing for District 7 while Max Moran is running unopposed in District 6.
