The accident happened on Tuesday, June 18 as Crnkovich was working at a private residence for a company who had been hired to clear brush and trees from the property. The Alpine Fire Department said they were dispatched to the scene at 1:34 p.m. after Crnkovich became caught in the woodchipper. Firefighters dissembled the chipper and removed Crnkovich. Emergency responders from Star Valley Health performed life saving procedures, however the traumatic injuries were too severe and Crnkovich succumbed to his injuries.

Friends of the family have set up a GoFundMe account to help the family with expenses during this difficult time. “Your donation means the world to William’s family,” states the GoFundMe page. “If you knew William you know he was an amazing dad, brother, uncle, son, cousin, friend and everything in-between.”
