The annual Alpine Christmas Craft Fair is coming to the Donn Wooden Civic Center in Alpine on Friday and Saturday, December 12-13. This year offers Ladies Night on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. with the traditional day event open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday.

“Ladies, leave the kids at home and come out and take advantage of some specials, and take some time for yourselves this year,” said organizer Christa Tidwell. Everyone can enjoy Saturday’s photo opportunities with the Grinch from 9:00 – noon and Santa and Mrs. Claus from 12:30-3:00.

Admission to the fair is free and Saturday is open to guests of all ages. Food and drinks will be available for purchase from Dinner’s Ready and Prohibition Outpost.  Guests can enjoy music throughout the event, and vendors will compete for the public’s vote in the Ugly Christmas Sweater Contest. Lucky’s Place plans to be there selling raffle tickets as a fundraiser, and the Star Valley FFA will have a booth with fundraising options as well.

Tidwell’s 501(c)3 nonprofit, Alpine Craft Fairs, donates to a charity or organization that “could use some support” each year.  With 33 vendors from all over the region, guests are sure to find something they love to take home.

Scheduled vendors plan to offer jewelry, sweet treats, quilted items, handmade soaps and lotions, bath bombs, “beautiful” clocks designed from wood and bullet shells, high-end turquoise jewelry, Star Valley Coffee Roasters, Scentsy, honey, Tumblr, antler décor, cheeses, candles, wreaths and bowls created from lariat ropes, handmade cutting boards, face painting, Christmas décor, Freshies and crocheted items.

“We have a whole variety of different vendors. You are not going to see many of the same things twice,” said Tidwell.  “Come out and support local people because we appreciate the business more than big stores do.”
