Wyoming Community Foundation offered direction.

Jennifer Wilkins, Founder and Executive Director for the Wyoming Arts Development Institute, and Patti Rooney, Advocate and Nonprofit Supporter for the Wyoming Community Foundation, helped host two days of meetings in Alpine for Star Valley’s non-profit organizations.

“We call this connecting for a cause,” explained Rooney in an interview with SVI Media at the conclusion of the event. “We hope it is the first of many and the goal is to bring all of the valley non-profits under one roof, to collaborate, to share, to figure out where we go from here.”

She said the meetings in the Alpine Civic Center helped participants know how to collaborate and enhance their funding opportunities, in addition to helping them understand how to get their message in front of people.

“We all have great missions but sharing those missions can be difficult sometimes,” she noted.

Rooney concluded, “I am very thrilled about our turnout. People here know the benefit of connecting and our causes are so similar. We look forward to many more.”

Wilkins and Rooney joined the SVI Media Weekday Wake-Up program April 21. That interview can be found by clicking here.

The Donn Wooden Alpine Civic Center hosted the Wyoming Community Foundation event.
