• Proceeds go toward Lucky’s Place and the Alpine Food Pantry
Alpine’s traditional Holiday Craft Fair is happening this Saturday, December 14, in the Alpine Civic Center at 121 Highway 89 in Alpine. All proceeds will go toward Lucky’s Place and the Alpine Food Pantry.
Thirty-five vendors, who are offering mostly hand-crafted items, are scheduled to share their products and services. Most vendors are local, though a few are coming from Idaho. Only two vendors will offer direct sales products. The remaining 33 vendors have handcrafted items to share.
The Grinch will be on site for photos with guests and friends. A $1 donation is requested at the door to benefit the Alpine Food Pantry, and vendors are each donating an item to the raffle, so that guests can purchase tickets and win a gift or two. All proceeds from the raffle will go to benefit Lucky’s Place.
Fair organizer Christa Tidwell is pleased with the participation from vendors this year and looks forward to the public generously purchasing raffle tickets and donating at the door to the two organizations that feed our community and our pets. She asks that folks give generously, so Lucky’s and the food pantry “can do their magic.”
Tony Rey is providing lunch for a small fee, offering homemade tamales, street tacos and other Mexican style menu items.
Scheduled vendors will offer jewelry, glass items, handmade wood cutting boards, glitter tumblers, calendars, jams, jellies, seasonings, handmade cards, pottery pieces, homemade treats, caramels, embroidery services, crocheted items, honey products, fabric printing services, antler works, handmade wreaths, hand-poured candles and pre-made dinners, among other items.
“It’s right before Christmas,” said Tidwell. “I think that supporting our local community, with the way our economy is going, would mean a lot to all these local vendors, especially right before Christmas.”
