The third annual Alpine Art Festival is happening Friday and Saturday, August 14 and 15 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the lawns of The Bank of Jackson Hole at 65 Grey’s River Road in Alpine. Festivities are being offered in conjunction with the Star Valley Street Market and the Alpine Car Show on Saturday.

Over 20 vendors are engaged to display and sell art of several styles and media, including fine art, fiber art, sculpture, ceramics, jewelry, photography, wood and others.

Additionally, the Star Valley Arts Council will offer its Shared Art Gallery, which is a portable gallery featuring art by many local artisans. Shared Gallery canvases and paint will be available for guests to create their own art to add to the gallery. There will be other artistic opportunities at the Arts Council’s booth for guests who would like to have an artistic experience.

Two live bands, including Baldy Dread and a jazz quartet, will provide live music throughout the afternoon each day.

“I am so excited for this year’s Alpine Arts Festival,” said Megan Rose, who serves as Assistant Executive Director to the SVAC. “We have returning vendors as well as some fun new ones! It looks like the weather is going to finally cool down this weekend so bring a jacket and wander through.”
