The Fish Creek Fire by Togwotee Pass has reached 24,904 acres as of Tuesday, September. 10. The fire is considered 69-percent contained. The Northern Rockies Team 2, under the direction of Scott Schuster, has 504 personnel on the site with 11 hand crews, 24 engines, 17 pieces of heavy equipment and three helicopters.
In the Star Valley region, a small fire in the Indian Creek area near Palisades Reservoir was quickly contained by firefighters last week. Lincoln County Dispatch said the fire was reported by a passing motorist at 3:30 p.m. Friday, September 6. Bonneville County in Idaho was notified, and the Alpine Fire Department was dispatched to the scent to assist.

The National Interagency Fire Center in Boise reports 71 large fires burning across the nation with suppression efforts underway. Seven new large new fires were noted of Tuesday, September 10. A total of 2,247,356 acres have burned in the U.S. during the 2024 summer season.
