• 400+ winter clothing items to be given out to those in need.
As colder temperatures approach, Cross Valley Community Outreach is stepping up to help those in need by hosting its 3rd Annual Winter Clothing Drive. On October 19, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., the drive will take place at the Thayne Community Center, offering a wide range of winter essentials for free to anyone who needs them.
This is the 3rd annual coat drive from 10-2 p.m. at the Thayne Community Center on October 19. Hats, gloves, boots, coats, snow pants and scarves. “Everything is free,” emphasizes organizer Allison Rainey. “We want folks to come down and load up on what you could use for your family. All donated items have been cleaned before the event.
Cross Valley Community Outreach is a partnership of Evangelical churches throughout Star Valley, which includes Alpine Christian Fellowship, Emmanuel Bible Church, Morning Star Baptist Church, New Hope and River of Life. “Our whole thing is that ‘God loves people and so do we.’ We want to share that love by serving our community in any way that we can.”
They will also have cookies and treats for those who come. If you would still like to donate items, you can bring it on October 19. This annual event is a reminder of the generosity and care within the community, offering crucial support to families as they prepare for the chilly months ahead.
