The inaugural Alpine Harvest Craft Fair is scheduled for Saturday, November 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Donn Wooden Civic Center. Representatives from the new holiday charitable initiatives organization in Star Valley, Common Ground, will be on site encouraging support of the local food pantries. Proceeds from the fair go to benefit Lucky’s Place Animal Shelter.
Fair organizer Shanna Gunney is pleased to be raising funds to support Lucky’s Place. A raffle table will be displaying items donated by fair vendors and local businesses with tickets selling at six for $5 or 12 for $10. “Every little bit that we can do to benefit them is great as we do our part to help the animals in the valley.”
Vendors are booked to offer jewelry, cups, art, decor, pottery, crochet, 3-D printed toys, beauty products like soaps and lotions, crafts, quilts, literary items, baked goods and meat from the Circle H Ranch.
Folks can enjoy lunch offered by Seasoned Catering from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Though Seasoned Catering is newer to Star Valley, they have been providing meals in Jackson for some time.
“This is a community event and everybody is welcome,” said Gunney. “Come and take a look. We are getting into the holiday season and now is a good time to go ahead and start those Christmas lists. This helps local vendors and the animal shelter and the food bank. It’s all for a really good cause.”
