RIVERTON—The latest episode of the Wyoming PBS series, “Our Wyoming,” shares the powerful story of Wyoming musher Alix Crittenden of Bondurant as she faces challenges in the Pedigree Stage Stop Race. The prestigious sled dog race, which covers public lands of the Bridger-Teton and Shoshone national forests, celebrates its 30th year later this month.

“Our Wyoming” is an award-winning and digital-first series that explores the people, places, and events that make Wyoming unique. The latest episode, “Leading the Pack,” can be viewed anytime on the Wyoming PBS website, YouTube Channel, and App.

In the show, Crittenden’s journey takes a surprising and inspiring turn, evolving from a pursuit of athletic ambition to a powerful testament to human resilience. After overcoming a medical emergency, she emerges stronger than ever, driven by a renewed determination to compete in and win one of North America’s most prestigious long-distance sled dog races.

This compelling 20-minute feature offers an intimate look at the unbreakable bond between musher and dogs, highlighting the rigorous preparation needed for competitive sledding in Wyoming’s rugged terrain. Through Crittenden’s journey, viewers experience not only the physical demands of the sport but also the extraordinary spirit required to overcome life’s toughest challenges.

Crittenden is on the 2025 roster for the seven-day race, which begins Jan. 31 in Jackson Hole.
