Police searching for Alpine hit and run driver

The Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying the driver in a hit and run incident that took place Sunday night in Alpine.

The accident took place at roughly 10:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 3 on County Road 100. The driver hit a pedestrian and left the scene.

According to the sheriff’s office, the vehicle in question is possibly a 2006-2008 GMC or Chevrolet 2500-3500 diesel pickup truck with a missing driver side mirror.

Lincoln County Sheriff Shane Johnson said the pedestrian that was hit is an adult male who was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.
