An accident that occurred on February 19 has claimed a second life as an 85-year old female who had been transported for medical care has passed away due to her injuries. The woman had been the driver of the vehicle.
An 85-year old male succumbed to injuries from the crash on February 19 shortly after the crash. The names of the deceased have not been released to the public.
The accident occurred on Highway 30 at milepost 421.8 roughly one mile north of Georgetown, Idaho. The scene involved two different semi trucks. The roadway was closed for approximately ten hours.

The incident remains under investigation by the Idaho State Police (ISP).
ISP was assisted by Idaho Transportation Department, Bear Lake County Sheriff’s Office, Bear Lake Fire Department, Caribou County Sheriff’s Office, and Soda Springs Medical.
