The Star Valley Health Auxiliary fundraising committee is excited to announce an ongoing raffle featuring three fantastic items, all aimed at supporting our local community and enhancing hospital services.

In an interview with Deb Foley, on the Weekday Wake-Up, shared, “We are raffling off three wonderful prizes that were donated by businesses in the community because everything we are able to do for the hospital is through donations and fundraising.” One of the items is a queen-size handcrafted quilt by Joan Clark, adorned with a large star in the center and several beautiful borders. This quilt is sure to be a cherished addition to any home. Additionally, we are raffling a generous 6-month gym membership, donated by Peak Fitness, which can be used at either the Afton or Thayne location. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to kickstart their fitness journey. The third item up for grabs is a delightful gift basket valued at $100, generously donated by The Meat Block. This basket is packed with local goodies and is perfect for anyone looking to indulge.

Raffle tickets are available for purchase in several convenient ways. Look for Auxiliary members in their bright pink jackets at upcoming events like Frontier Days and the July 4th Parade. You can also visit the hospital gift shop, located at the front entrance of the hospital. Additionally, you can ask any Auxiliary member for tickets. Tickets are priced at $10 each, or you can buy five and get one free. The drawing will take place on August 21, and you do not need to be present to win. The owner of the first ticket drawn will choose from the three items, followed by the second ticket holder, and finally the third ticket will win the remaining item.

The Star Valley Health Auxiliary plays a crucial role in enhancing patient care and supporting our community. The funds raised help operate the gift shop, which provides a variety of items for visitors, employees, and community members. It is open Monday to Friday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. In addition to the gift shop, the Auxiliary funds essential equipment for the hospital, including medication pumps for patients requiring at-home chemotherapy, personal blood flow restriction equipment for physical therapy patients, a chair lift to assist residents with mobility challenges, RV hook-up spaces for out-of-town family members of patients, a tent canopy for the PT department to ensure comfort during outdoor events, and books for the Raising Readers program at SVH clinics. The Auxiliary also volunteers at the Care Center and hospital activities, making a positive impact on our community.

If you are interested in being part of the team, please contact 307-885-5886, visit the hospital gift shop, or speak to any Auxiliary member.

Mark your calendars for the upcoming fundraisers, including a Card Party at the Thayne Community Center on July 16th and Bingo at the SV RV Ranch Resort on August 21st. Your support means the world to the auxiliary and helps improve health services in the community.
