Star Valley’s Top of the Rockies Non-Profit Club is hosting their annual Car Show on Saturday, August 16 at the Donn Wooden Civic Center and Marge Grover Park in Alpine. Funds raised at the show go into the club’s Care Account to assist with community and personal needs.

The show runs in conjunction with the Alpine Art Festival and Star Valley Street Market happening that same day. Registration is scheduled for 8-10 a.m. Show and Shine will happen from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with the awards ceremony taking place around 3 p.m.

Burgers and brats will be available for purchase with “all the good stuff,” said Andrea Burchard, representing the club. “We fire up the grill pretty early. People like their breakfast burgers, so we will have that up and running around 10.”

This year’s event offers a wide variety of competition divisions, including a new category called “Anything Goes” for any vehicles that don’t fit in a division. Money raised goes directly into the Care Account. “Those funds go directly back into the community. We might buy a dishwasher or a furnace or groceries, or we might support another non-profit.”

“It’s a fun day with the community,” said Burchard. “We will have lots of good cars to look at. Come have lunch and visit with your neighbors. We’ll have live DJ music and raffles tickets available for purchase to win various items. We will have the Star Valley Street Market on the same day in conjunction with the car show and the Alpine Art Festival presented by the
Star Valley Arts Council. Should be a lot of fun!”
