Town of Alpine to Begin Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) System Replacement Starting June 2

By SVI Staff
June 2, 2025

The following is a release from the Town of Alpine –

The Town of Alpine will begin the replacement of its Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system, including water meters and radios, starting the week of June 2, 2025.

Town staff will be conducting the installations. Vehicles used during this process will be clearly marked with the Town of Alpine logo for easy identification. Each meter installation will require a brief 15 to 30 minute service interruption. If your water is actively running at the time of installation, the installer will note the situation and return the following day to complete
the installation.

Meter change-outs will take place between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. each day. Residents can expect a courtesy knock at the door just prior to the replacement of their meter.

Town staff will be changing out meters located in exterior meter pits. Meters located in crawl spaces or inside the dwelling will be contracted out to a third-party service provider.

Additional communication will be provided for those installations as needed.

Installation will begin in the Riverview Meadows neighborhood, proceeding in the following
order:
1. Snake River Drive
2. Palisades Lane
3. Riverview Drive
4. Deer Lane
5. River Circle

We appreciate your patience and cooperation as we work to upgrade our infrastructure for improved service and long-term reliability.
