The Town of Alpine is warning residents about fake invoices demanding cryptocurrency or wire transfer payments. These scams may appear to come from the Town – but the Town will never request payment by these methods. All official Town of Alpine emails end in @alpinewy.gov.

If residents receive a fraudulent email, the Town of Alpine encourages you to not reply or click any links, do not share money or send payment info, check the sender’s email, and report suspicious message to Town Hall right away.

If you are unsure about an invoice or email, contact the Town of Alpine directly at (307) 654-7757 or office@alpinewy.gov before taking action. Town staff can confirm whether a message is legitimate and help you report fraud attempts.
