ROCK SPRINGS (WNE) – A Tesla charging station in Rock Springs was recently targeted by vandals with spray paint.

On Saturday, the Rock Springs Police Department received a call about vandalism to the Tesla charging stations at the White Mountain Mall, 2441 Foothill Blvd. When officers arrived on scene, they observed four of the charging stations had swastikas spray-painted on them.

Officers believe the vandalism occurred sometime between the late night hours on Friday and the early morning hours of Saturday.

According to the RSPD, it is likely the damage is related to the nationwide vandalism targeted at Tesla related to company founder Elon Musk’s involvement with the federal Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE).

This is an ongoing investigation, and officers are collecting surveillance video from nearby businesses to gather more information.

RSPD urges those who have any information on this case to call Sweetwater Combined Communication Center at 307-362-6575 and reference case number R25-04943.
