Life Flight was requested after a vehicle rolled off the Greys River road early Monday morning. The Alpine Fire Department, Star Valley Health and Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched at 1:31 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 2 to a location approximately six miles up the Greys River for a vehicle that had gone off the road.  The vehicle had rolled approximately 140 feet down to the river’s edge.

One occupant of the vehicle was able to make it up the hill and contact people at a nearby campsite. Another occupant was ejected during the accident and was found 20 feet from the vehicle. Firefighters used a low angle rescue allowing a Star Valley Health Paramedic to be  lowered in a stokes basket down to the patient. The patient was assessed and raised to the road, loaded into an ambulance and treated on the way to a landing zone where Air Methods Life Flight had landed.

No additional details on the accident are available at this time.
