• Wyoming has signed four transfers
Cowboy basketball head coach Sundance Wicks announced the addition of a pair of transfer guards to the 2025-26 roster on Monday with both student-athletes having two years of eligibility remaining. Guard Khaden Bennett comes to Wyoming from Quinnipiac with Adam Harakow joining UW from Lake Superior State.
“In this year’s recruiting class, we have targeted specific guys for a specific mission. Each young man we sign has been intentionally identified, obsessively analyzed, and thoroughly vetted to fit our Cowboy Culture. We know that we are the home of the underdog, and the underdog mentality has always suited us well in the wild west. This class will feature a multitude of players who are relentlessly competitive, high character team first guys, have helped their team win along their journey, and have a massive chip on their shoulder that gives them an everyday edge. We call them OKC’s (Our Kinda Cowboys). Please help us in welcoming our second wave of OKC’s of the 2025-26 transfer class.”
Wicks on Bennett
“We are JUICED UP to add Khaden Bennett (KB) and his family to our Cowboy Culture next season. KB is a proven winner in college, helping lead Quinnipiac to a league title this past season and he comes from a great basketball bloodline, as his father, Brandon, is a highly successful high school coach in Texas. We believe that toughness is a talent, and Khaden has a ton of it! KB is exactly the tough-minded winner that the Wyoming faithful will fall in love with. We really went all-in on guys who cared about connecting, competing, and winning more than anything else, and KB impacts winning on both sides of the floor and he will be an elite locker-room leader. In my opinion KB is a swiss-army knife in the form of a basketball player. KB can hurt you from the arc, keep the dominos falling when the advantage is created, and take advantage of sucker switch with his bully frame. Welcome to the wild west Khaden Bennett.”<
Bennett, a 6-4, 205-pound guard is a native of Mansfield, Texas. He spent two seasons at Quinnipiac appearing in 49 games with 20 starts. Last season, Bennett averaged 10.3 points per game along with 4.3 rebounds with 1.6 assists per game. He scored a career-high 23 points against Sacred Heart and added 20 points against Mount St. Mary’s. He finished the season with 39 three-pointers with a career-high four against Manhattan. He appeared in 16 games as a true freshman adding 1.4 points and 1.9 rebounds per game.
He played high school basketball at South Grand Prairie High School and prepped at Choate Rosemary Hall (Wallingford, CT) for the 2022-23 campaign. During his time at South Grand Prairie during his junior season in 2020-21, he was named District 8-6A Offensive Player of the Year for his efforts and helped lead the team to an impressive 21-1 overall record adding over 15 points and seven rebounds per game along with four assists per night.
Wicks on Harakow
“What a gem we have found in Adam Harakow. The Division II level has been good to the pokes in the past couple seasons, and we are going to keep trending upwards with the addition of Mr. Harakow from Lake Superior State. Adam helped lead LSSU to a 30-7 record and an appearance in the DII Elite Eight this past season. That’s WINNING!!! What stuck out to us the most about Adam was his competitiveness and his ability to play fast & physical while also being a threat from behind the arc. The lefty has size, switch-ability and physicality. He was sixth in the team in minutes played and led the team in FT attempts. He gets on base! Adam has a unique way about him that makes him a great cultural connector. Let’s not forget that Harakow’s hair will be maldo-esq and his passion for the game will light ignite the palace on the prairie night in and night out! Wyoming fans, help me welcome Adam Harakow to Cowboy Country.”
Harakow, a 6-7 215-pound guard/forward is a native Edmonton, Alberta. He spent two seasons at NCAA Division II Lake Superior State. He has appeared in 63 career games in his career at the collegiate level. Last season, Harakow added 11.8 points per game along with 4.4 rebounds in 19 minutes per game. He knocked down 37 three pointers for the season. He scored a career-high 31 points against Michigan State in the NCAA Regional and led his team to the NCAA Division II Elite 8. He was named the GLIAC Defensive Player of the Week in early January.
He prepped at Western Canada Prep Academy. He was nominated for the 2023 Biosteel All-Canadian Game as one of the top players in his age group in Canada. He was also listed as one of the 15 best shooters in Canada, regardless of class, by North Pole Hoops.
